About Stage 3

So Stage 3 is one of the most exciting sections of the course! You will be introduced to the fascinating homeopathic theory of miasms which are such an integral part of homeopathic prescribing and practice. Miasms refer to our inherited predisposition to disease, and why we might be susceptible to certain illnesses and patterns of emotional behaviour that pass down our inherited family gene pool. Learning about miasms will give you a totally new perspective on health and the reasons why we get ill.

In this stage we will also further your knowledge of case-taking.  You will be shown how to take a full and thorough case, including questioning and active listening so that you can obtain all the relevant information you need to in order to understand your patient and make the right prescription.  Case-taking will cover the patient’s current symptom picture, as well as their medical and personal emotional history, building on everything you have learnt in Stage 2 regarding general and physical symptoms….in other words, how to gain a deeper understanding of your patient.

We will continue to study more of our incredible major psychological medicines that broaden your knowledge of different personality types;  such as Aurum (gold), Staphysiagria (delphinium) and Stramonium (thorn apple).

Alongside these remedies, we will also study three of the most important miasmatic remedies – Psorinum, Medorrhinum and Syphilinum – and how to prescribe them to advance progress in a chronic case.

You will also be given more fascinating cases to work on, covering depression, menstrual irregularities and illnesses affecting the nervous system.

Our lectures on Nutrition and Mind/body de-tox will continue, as will our Self-development component of the course.
